Friend, God has redeemed us through reconiliation, set us on a higher plain. In His legal office He has pardoned us through the finished work of the cross. Through His Son He has forgiven us! To fall into self-condemnation is to turn our face on forgiveness. They are the opposite of each other and cannot correlate. Friend, until we can accept God's forgiveness, past, present and future, we will not forgive ourselves. In turn, we will not forgive others. This is a breeding ground for a offensive heart. Let's remember God is greater than our heart. How much more we should forgive ourselves. 1 John 3:19-21 says, "And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God." As a believer, we are accepted in the Beloved. That means we have been accepted as part of God's household with all its privileges and rights. To bring it further, in this acceptance we never have to feel rejected. Simply God will never reject us, not even a little! Remember that God's attitude towards us never changes. It is always the same, constant, never moved by our feelings. He is always faithful, even when we are not. Rejection towards His children is never a thought in God mind because He swore by His Word and the work of His Son on the cross. On the cross, Jesus took our condemnation, our deserved rejection and suffered ur separation from God. In the same way that we have rights to promises, we have the right not to be rejected, not matter how bad the situation or sin. Don't Judge By Feelings Friend, there may be times we may feel alienated from God because of self-condemnation, but this is from our own soulish thinking and the law, this is not from God. He settled the rejection problem on the cross and said, "I'll never leave you or forsake you." This means no matter what we have done, He will be there for us keeping the doors wide open of acceptance and love. Understnd, we are not forgiven because of the confession of sins, but the acceptance from Jesus Christ. Through the finished work of the cross we have an ever-flowing forgiveness. Child of God, self-condemnation will only put us back into bondage, steal our confidence and weaken our freedom, so refuse its ugly claws. We Are Free In Him Through the work of reconciliation, God has given us a new freedom. Not freedom to live and do as one pleases in the flesh but freedom to choose what is in line with God's Word. Freedom to become all that God wants us to become. Freedom to fulfill our potential to the honor of God. To fall into self-condemnation is to not experience a blessing that we are so privileged of. That is, "Confidence!" Confidence is trust, boldness, and an assurance. It's what leads one to endure or undertake anything that comes our way. Confidence is a fruit of faith, a product of trusting and being totally dependent on God. It's a boldness to witness and testify of God's goodness. It's an anointing to proclaim openly the Good News Gospel. It's courage to proclaim freely the gospel of peace. It's the ability to affirm the truth of God's Spirit. The greatest enemy of confidence is self-condemnation through self-accusation. Where there is condemnation constantly peering its ugly head, there is a struggle with confidence, a struggle with trust, a struggle with boldness. Confidence is experiencing rest and peace in one's heart! Not Moved; Confidence When our confidence is built in God, the systemof the world will not be able to move us. The only way we would be moved is if we ourselves allow it. We simply, have to keep the Spirit of God as our foundation, teacher and the One who has come along side. As we do this, we will keep our confidence no matter what the storms of life may bring. But if we allow the guard of our heart, confidence to come down, we will be open to the attack of darkness. With our defenses down, confidence toward our heavenly Father will not be able to grow properly or stabilize. Confidence in God and our position in Christ will always overrule self-condemnation. There isn't a son of God who does not want confidence to rule in their heart. A key to having more is not allowing the law to put on self-condemnation through self-accusation. Satan must not be allowed to falsely condemn our heart. If he is allowed, he will slowly strip our confidence. Yet, if confidence is allowed to take its place, there will always be life instead of death. When this happens, it is a healing of the heart. Instead of self-accusation and self-condemnation there is now a new light. No longer are we centered on ourselves, our problems, but our view has shifted in the direction of God, which in turn gently directs us to others and their needs. If our confidence is stolen by the false accuser, we will not be able to fulfill our lifes calling. We will get stuck in a rut, which is a grave with no ends. But friend, confidence will bring light to the end of the tunnel. Like a new lease on life, so is confidence towards God, for in it there is no condemnation! You're Free From Condemnation Dear friend, Jesus has set us free from guilt. Self-condemnation has no place in your life. God has set us free from the judgment of self-accusation. we are walking the life of Christ in His perfection. And but in Him we are maturing into His perfectness by His grace. Today, there is no need to be on the sidelines of life, wounded and battle fatigued. God is our strength, might and power. He has raised us far above the works of darknessand the law, and has seated us in heavenly speresassons of God. We may feel worthless, but to God we are worthy. We may feel guilt from our past or present, but God says, "I've paid for your guilt, past and present, come closer to me." We may not feel accepted, but we have been accepted in the beloved. God's acceptance does not move with our behavior. His Son has already settled it. Simply man may reject us but God will not or ever in all eternity reject us! What an awsome God! Friend, there is only one place for healing self-condemnation. There is only one place we can have a life change from false accusations, That is in the knowledge of the unconditional love of God and who we are in Christ. Always remember that God is greater than our heart especially when it condemns us. Also remember, there is now no condemnation, no adjudging guilt, no accusation, no rejection from God to those who are in Christ Jesus. Son of God, you do not need to live in the lies of darkness any more. You are free! So hold your head up high and walk in victory over condemnation!
