Sons of God

Chapter 1

A speaker told a story of a man who came on a ship from Europe. He bought a one-way ticket to the land of his dreams. While on the voyage he would walk past the restaurant and watch with envy as passengers would eat decadent meals while he himself would eat dry bread and cheese on the deck or in his cabin.
One day a cook spotted the man eating on deck and enquired about his circumstances, as the cook listened intently he decided to offer the man a job to help in the kitchen, the wages would be for meals. The man quickly jumped at the opportunity.
At the end of the voyage the man with all his belongings was departing the ship. The captain was shaking the hand of passengers as they left and when he came to the gentlemen the captain asked why he had not seen him in the restaurants, special galas and events. The gentlemen politely and with embarrassment told the captain that he could not afford those luxuries. The captain, with stunned looks replied by telling the gentlemen that all his meals and special events were included in his ticket.
Now this may sound like a sad story, yet in some ways this is how many are concerning their place in God, not knowing and understanding that the Son of God paid for the ticket and all its benefits. Benefits they have inherited through the finished work of the cross.
Many are also sadly tricked by their lack of knowledge to live well below the means of their identity and inheritance, and cannot comprehend all that God has accomplished for them in their place in God's kingdom.
When The Son of God came to earth to fulfill the plans and purposes of the Father, he came with a built in awareness that He was the Son of God, and in this truth He was empowered to walk as a Son with all its rights, privileges and power. There was nothing missing or lacking on His ticket
Most struggled with this reality by not knowing or comprehending that they, like the Son, also have all the same rights and privileges as the sons of God.
The Son of God was able to do exploits for His Father because he knew He was of His Father, by knowing this He could confidently say, “I do as my Father tells me.” He knew His place and stature of royalty and spoke to all in the name of the Father King.
The excuse has been made that the Son could do all that he did because he was the Son of God. Yet it must be understood that He was all of man and was tempted in every way as a man. He could do all things because He knew who he was in the Father.
Today our identity crises is in us not acknowledging and walking as the sons of God, and when we do try, we do it by walking it out by the flesh.
We must come to the place of knowing we are spirit beings, one with the Son and one with the Father. God never intended for us to make the flesh god but to bring the flesh to the place of submission to God. The flesh will always war against the Spirit when we do not walk as sons.
The victory that so many believers strive for is simply in coming to recognize their place as the sons of God and in doing so, like the Son; they too can walk in the life of their identification in God
The message of Identification is one of the most critical foundational truths that a son of God can comprehend. In this truth lays the foundation to walk in the dimension of God, sons of God doing the King’s business.
Religion has spent most of its time striving with the flesh, seeking out an identity of works, performance and religious tradition. Striving to find favor and acceptance in God by duty and sacrifice, what we have ended up with a people filled with offence, frustration and discontentment. It does not take much Godly common sense to quickly realize that one’s performance or righteousness acts can never or will ever stack up to God, Its simply filthy rags!
Humanity is always trying to get to God by the flesh, around the world religion uses what ever means possible to try to manipulate God to smile down, find favor in or try to get Him to do horrific things to people and nations.
Yet the good news gospel is a stumbling block to those who find satisfaction in doing it their own way. Insecurity and fear are their foundation blocks to stopping people from finding the rightful place as sons.
But through regeneration we are transformed from glory to glory, from a lost sinner to a saint seating in heavenly places in the Son.
We can rest and be assured that God has done all to establish His kingdom through His Son, and by the Son all may come to taste and partake of the benefits as a full fledge Son of God.
God has never questioned what He has done and invites all to experience this son ship to its completeness. He has set His agenda by the finished work of the cross, the cornerstone to expose and reveal to the entire universe the sons of God.
The bible says that the mountains and the trees clap there hands and that this very earth cries out to the revealing of the sons of God.
Some teach that this will happen when we all get to heaven! But my friends the sons of God are standing by the multitudes in the present of mankind. They are a force greater then all the armies of the earth, a nation of sons that are ready to do all that the father desires to give to this universe, a perfect casting of bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh says the lord.
I believe that it is time for the sons of God to awaken, to bring forth that which the prophet has spoken, proclaimed through His inspired word that, as He is so are we!
The very moment you were made aware of God you became a partaker of this very life, His nature with all its attributes and you were translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light. You have now become identified with the Son, a transformation of life that now considers you a son of God, an heir with Christ.
This means you have become a member of God's own household, a member of the His kingdom with all it position, benefits and privileges.
In this great miracle you have received an inheritance, an inheritance you did nothing to deserve, you did not earn it, and you could not buy it. It was free with out any cost to you; all you need to do is believe it.
The bible say, "You have been regenerated, not from a mortal origin (seed, sperm), but from one that is immortal by the ever living and lasting Word of God."
It also says that no one comes to the father unless He draws you, so along life's way you became aware of the good news gospel of grace and you trusted, and instantly you were no longer living out of the old nature but of a new nature created in the son.
“And it was of His own [free] will that He gave us birth [as sons] by [His] Word of Truth, so that we should be a kind of first fruits of His creatures [a sample of what He created to be consecrated to Himself].”
“Therefore if any person is engrafted in the Messiah he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old previous moral and spiritual condition has passed away. Behold the fresh and new has come!”
Out of the love of God in the cross towards us, we are taken from a place of being lost and miraculously given a new position as sons of the living God. And by this God now views us as His sons, a part of His royalty and His kingdom.
“Therefore you are no longer outsiders (exiles, migrants, and aliens, excluded from the rights of citizens), but you now share citizenship with the saints (God's own people, consecrated and set apart for Himself); and you belong to God's [own] household.”
With your membership to this household you have been given the right to identify with the God’s family and all its privileges, you are no more sons of wrath but sons of God. The privilege of all sin forgiven, all wrath being satisfied, all judgment deserved has been legally wiped away. By this you now have legal entrance into the royal chambers of the most holy place of God.
“In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor”
“Through Him also we have our access entrance, introduction by faith into this grace (state of God's favor) in which we firmly and safely stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God.”
“Therefore, you are no longer a slave (bond servant) but a son; and if a son, then it follows that you are an heir by the aid of God, through the Son.”
“And if we are His sons, then we are His heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with the son sharing His inheritance with Him.”
An heir is someone who is entitled to benefits, property, stature and advantages, if we are sons then this means we are benefactors of what was accomplished on the cross. This is the miracle, that all that the Son inherited, we also can freely and confidentially access. It is like an open check that God has already signed and all we have to do is draw freely as needed.
Now as sons this inheritance is not activated when we die, but was made in effect in the finished work of the cross, therefore we have right to access now at will, whenever needed.
“Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor), that we may receive mercy for our failures and find grace to help in good time for every need appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it.”
We have every right as sons and it is not in some far off place that takes some special works or ritual to access. God desires for you to benefit from this great inheritance and wants you to take hold of this new identity that you may come see the revealing of the sons of God.
“And now I commit you to God, I deposit you in His charge, entrusting you to His protection and care. And I commend you to the Word of His grace, to the commands and counsels and promises of His unmerited favor. It is able to build you up and to give you your rightful inheritance among all God's set-apart ones, those consecrated, purified, and transformed of soul.”
There are several thing we must remember, first that God has extended His grace to us and enable us to be empowered to walk out this inheritance. Secondly He has given us His Word as a tool to help direct us through the door into our inheritance. Third he has permanently placed His own Spirit with in us to help guide us on how to use the inheritance to His glory.
This is God’s will and desire for you to access and live in the benefit of this inheritance and He has abundance of resources that will never run dry.
We must allow the life of the Son to live in our space, allow him to envelop and infuses his blessing in all areas of our life. So walk in the identity of your newfound relationship, do not let anything pass you by or stop you possessing all that the Father has for you.
“May blessing praise, laudation, and eulogy be to the God and Father of our Lord the Messiah. Who has blessed us in Son with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm!”
The word, us includes all in the Messiah. It did not say will but that He has blessed all with every spiritual blessing. This means all the inheritance, not ten percent, nor will fifty, nor ninety but all blessings according to His will.
“Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in the Son before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.
For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own sons through the Messiah, in accordance with the purpose of His will [because it pleased Him and was His kind intent].
So that we might be to the praise and the commendation of His glorious, grace, favor and mercy, which He so freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.”
Remember before the foundations of the world he had all in mind. He had all inheritance prepared before hand. He had His stamp of approval and ownership on this plan that all would be identified as His sons with all stature and privilege and He desires you to know you are His and belong to Him and that you have every right to all that He has.
“To purchase the freedom of (to ransom, to redeem, to atone for) those who were subject to the Law, that we might be adopted and have son ship conferred upon us and be recognized as God's sons.”
And because you really are His sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father!”
My friend, the word adopt doesn't mean you have been brought into the family without a bloodline, as some have taught. The word, adopt means that you have come into full adult rights of inheritance, full benefactor as a Son of God now!
When God looks at you he sees a son, a son made full and complete in him, a son lacking nothing. Even though you may feel lack or something not complete, it makes no difference, because He will never change towards you, He will always take audience with you and He will not reject or push you away. So take your rightful place as a son of God, and do not let any one or anything change your mind concerning your identity to Him.

Chapter2

When the Messiah went to the cross, He took upon himself the sin of all. He suffered our death, our wrath, and deserved punishment, because of this act of unconditional love, all humanity has a way to access all the benefits of God.
Sadly not all will accept or receive it. But if you have, then you do not have to suffer any more. Your pain has been appeased and God has raised you to the newness of life in Him with a better covenant of better promises.
Today we are blessed to live in an age that God has poured His Spirit on all flesh; humanity is no longer hindered to walk into the presents of a holy God.
"...Jesus has become the guarantee of a better, stronger agreement, a more excellent and more advantageous covenant."
"The Son is therefore the mediator of an entirely new agreement, Testament, covenant, so that those who are called and offered it may receive the fulfillment of the promised everlasting inheritance..."
"For if that first covenant had been without defect, there would have been no room for another one or an attempt to institute another one."
"When God speaks of a new covenant or agreement. He makes the first one obsolete, out of use. And what is obsolete, out of use and annulled because of age, is ripe for disappearance and to be dispensed with all together."
Friend, we have a better covenant established by the work of the cross, not a covenant established by external rule, regulations and standards.  Not a gospel covenant of guilt and condemnation but a covenant of grace that can bring all to victory, security and acceptance of the Son.
A covenant for the darkened souls, who can trust and rest in a freedom beyond reason, the gospel of the good news is a simple act of God taking all responsibility where humanity would only fail, and then in turn giving them all the benefits, stature and position they did not deserve.
Not all the world sees this simple gospel; because they simply cannot comprehend His unconditional love.
Humanity, even though the Law is fulfilled and reconciliation has come to all, they still look to appease God on self effort, works and performance, drenched in defeat, guilt and condemnation. Feeling God they ought to, have to and must do something to find favor, when all they have to do is believe it and into the benefits of the kingdom they go!
"It is He who has qualified us, making us to be fit and worthy and sufficient as ministers and dispensers of a new covenant, not ministers of the letter of legally written code but of the Spirit; for the code of the Law kills, but the Spirit makes alive."
We are qualified as sons to bring and minister this great covenant. We are dispensers of this covenant because as sons we have rights to help establish all that the father desires.
Child of God you have been declared Justified.
You where not made but have been declared righteous in the sight of God.
Justification is an act of the Almighty that declares you righteous in Christ. There is no degree; we are all the same.
We could never justify ourselves before Him, because it is a legal matter that only God Himself can deal with. And as God he put the righteousness of Jesus into our account, and no one can or ever will change that.
Know this incredible fact that when God deals with you, he does it as though you have never sinned. That's a place of son ship
For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren.
And those whom He thus foreordained, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified (acquitted, made righteous, putting them into right standing with Himself). And those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being]. Romans 8:20,30.
See Ourselves in Him
We are in Christ, hidden in Christ and have been raised into a better condition of dignity. We are no longer mere humans but established in a new identity as sons.
Identity meaning we are sons that are associated with the Father through unchanging relationship.
We are sharers an resemble him, identified to Him
By Jesus hanging on the cross, He took our stead yet He took us with Him in identification. In other words our old nature died with him two thousand years ago.
The life we now live is the life of Christ in us.
When He died, we died with him, our old nature crucified with him.
It is no longer I that live but Christ in me.
For if we have become one with Him by sharing a death like His, we shall also be [one with Him in sharing] His resurrection [by a new life lived for God].
We know that our old (unrenewed) self was nailed to the cross with Him in order that [our] body [which is the instrument] of sin might be made ineffective and inactive for evil, that we might no longer be the slaves of sin.
For when a man dies, he is freed (loosed, delivered) from [the power of] sin [among men]. Romans 6:5 to7.
The old nature in its passions, habits and bondage's were nailed to the cross.
The moment we become aware of this fact the quicker we can live out of the benefits of that death.
We get to move into a new atmosphere. The old one had great limitations but the new one can do all things in Christ Jesus.
The old man has passed away; in this we can proclaim to the entire world that we are new creations in Christ.
Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, because we know that Christ (the Anointed One), being once raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has power over Him.
For by the death He died, He died to sin [ending His relation to it] once for all; and the life that He lives, He is living to God [in unbroken fellowship with Him].
Even so consider yourselves also dead to sin and your relation to it broken, but alive to God [living in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus. Romans 6: 8 to 11.
Dear friend it is imperative that we see ourselves nailed to the cross and that we have died with Him. That means we are dead to the law and alive in the spirit. Dead to the world and it dictates. Dead to the flesh that once controlled our being of life.
I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.  Galatians 2:20.
It is hard to understand this truth with human reasoning. It can only be established in the heart by faith through the Spirit. You no longer are normal to this world and its system.
2 Corinthians 5:14 says that [if] One died for all, then all died.
Dead here means the old man is dead; there is no life in him.
At a funeral, the person lying in the coffin has no earthly desires or cares. They are not moved by worry. They do not care about the stock market or the value of the dollar. They are not moved by their surroundings. No need for food or drink. They are dead and so if they are dead they must be buried. Jesus died and He was buried and just as we died with him we too must be buried.
Are you ignorant of the fact that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? We were buried therefore with Him by the baptism into death. Romans 6:3,4.
The old man has bean buried; he is now out of sight. He knows longer exists. But just as we were crucified died and buried with Christ, we have also been raised with Him in the newness of life.
So that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious [power] of the Father, so we too might [habitually] live and behave in newness of life. For if we have become one with Him by sharing a death like His, we shall also be [one with Him in sharing] His resurrection [by a new life lived for God]. Romans 6:4,5
Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him. Verse 8.
For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and you're [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:3
This tells us that we are to live in the identity hidden in Christ, an identity as sons of God.
This means we have been raised by the glory of His power. The flesh need no longer lead us. It has no ownership. Now we live in the new resurrected life as sons in Christ from now.
This truth alone will set you free, why? Because we are not flesh beings but spirit and if spirit then the flesh has no right to rule. Again for to long we have tried to get the flesh to be all of god but it will never happen. You are a son now and in this is holiness and righteousness.
I then you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth. Colossians 3:1.
My friend you must see by the spirit that you have been raised and positioned in Christ. We are called to live out of our heavenly position and seating in Christ, on earth.
Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation).
And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:6
We are in Christ and because of this we have been made to sit with him, a joint seating of His glorious kingdom now. A joint seating of His inheritance with all rights and privileges as the sons of God now.
Position of Victory
Understand that as the sons of God we do not have to submit, bow or even contend with darkness like we use to. We are positioned in a place that is far above principality and power.
This truth is called a positional truth. A truth that somehow must be lived in the temporal environment in order to manifest the sons of God.
To get the sons of God to live is to get them to live in the reality of the new identity in Christ.
Temporal truth is the correct application of our positional truth. If we can some how get us to see this by the spirit, as spirit beings through faith, we will see a change in the temporal.
As sons we will simply begin to walk in the victory we have already attained. Instead of always trying to obtain.
"God disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display, in triumphing over them in Him and in it the cross." Colossians 2:15.
Now the thing that we need to understand is that we, in and of ourselves cannot battle or stand against the wiles of the enemy. Our own persistence, abilities and self-efforts are no match concerning our battles with darkness! The victory and power to resist or advance on Satan comes in knowing our position as sons of God in Christ.
It is only from this place of position and what Christ has gained through the cross, that the battle can be successfully undertaken. This action is a position of faith in what Christ has already won!
The thing that we need to understand, as sons, is that we do not fight the battles with the God's help but we fight and meet the battles in what Christ has already won. Simply, the power is in the victory that is already ours in our position as sons of God.
For too long because of ignorance, we have been begging God for victory over darkness. The fact is He has already won the victory over darkness. We are called to face the battles of life from our position in Christ, a position of more than a conqueror!
Through this act of faith, the power, strength and ability of God will be there to stand. Again remember without doubt, Satan has already been defeated and disarmed through the cross. Christ is our strength more than we are looking for strength!
Dear friend you do not have to be tormented anymore.
You do not have to feel unworthy or inferior with God.
What you have to do is simply live out of that place as a son, out of the truth of God's word that proclaims your position, stature and inheritance.

Chapter 3

Now that we know our position as the sons of God, we must by the spirit see what God sees in us. He does not see us by the flesh for He is Spirit, but He sees us through the Son and the work of the cross.
A critical view of us that will bring growth and security is the truth that you have become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
The word righteous means you have been given right standing with God through Christ. By this you have access to God by virtue of your identity as a son of God in Christ.
Simply righteousness is a gift from God. It is not something you can earn. God simply declares that you are innocent, as far as He is concerned, because you believe in Christ.
You have become righteous because you received Jesus. In fact, Jesus is your righteousness. As a son you are really as righteous as God is because He is your righteousness.  And as a son in God, you will never be more righteous no matter what you do.
Namely, the righteousness of God which comes by believing with personal trust and confident reliance on Jesus Christ (the Messiah). [And it is meant] for all who believe. For there is no distinction. Romans 3:22.
Now to a laborer, his wages are not counted as a favor or a gift, but as an obligation (something owed to him).
But to one who, not working [by the Law], trusts (believes fully) in Him Who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited to him as righteousness (the standing acceptable to God).
Thus David congratulates the man and pronounces a blessing on him to whom God credits righteousness apart from the works he does. Romans 4:4,5,6.
Therefore, Since we are justified (acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). Romans 5:1.
For if because of one man's trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God's] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). Romans 5:17.
For just as by one man's disobedience (failing to hear, heedlessness, and carelessness) the many were constituted sinners, so by one Man's obedience the many will be constituted righteous (made acceptable to God, brought into right standing with Him). Romans
As sons we must see what God see, us Righteous! I believe that as we perceive this truth our temporal walk will be effected in such a way that we will reign as sons of God in this life.
This position comes through faith and as sons we must believe the righteousness we have become. In this our fellowship with the Father will change because we will stand right without feeling inferior before Him. If we cannot grasp this then we will allow our soul to be insecure with God as an outsider. Not a son!
God as a father does not desire His sons to be afraid of Him. If we are we will have a difficult time opening our heart and being honest with Him. We need to have the purest form of fellowship and how pure can it get when a righteous son fellowships with a holy God with complete right standing before Him.
God desires intimacy with His sons. And if a son trust the Father then all barriers are broken to experience all of the Father.
Sadly the legalist teach of a God who is full of anger, unpredictable and condescending. Of course this is not who God is. And because of this false view of God many do not experience their gift of righteousness in its fullness.
Come in with Confidence
For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.
Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]. Hebrews 4:15,16.
This is an incredible statement because we know that no unholy thing can come into the presence of a holy God. Yet this scripture proclaims that we are to come into His throne or presence fearlessly, confidently and boldly. How can this be unless we too are holy and righteous in His presence!
We belong to the household of God as sons. We can access God in the royal chambers, in and before His very throne without fear of condemnation.
Oh how wonderful is our Father to all humanity and He is worthy of all praise!
He said that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].
Why can we do this? Because it reveals a truth, that we are the sons of God!
Our need can mean times of trouble, temptations, and strength and yes even in a time of sin in the flesh. How can this be? Even sin in the flesh! Again the problem lies in the lack of understanding our son ship and what was accomplished through reconciliation to all on the cross.
We are not of this flesh but spirit beings with the rights as sons. We are righteous and have no fear of punishment. Jesus has already through the cross-suffered our punishment, past, present and future. For God to reject us for sin in the flesh is for Him to say and discredit the cross and death of His Son.
Now do not get me wrong, the flesh will reap its harvest and that is death but we are no longer after the flesh. The purpose of knowing we are sons brings us to the realization that the flesh has no dictates or right to control us. The sooner we realize who we are as sons, the quicker we will see a transformation in the body of this flesh.
Again the flesh will never be righteous and but you are of the Father and already righteous. Because of this you need to know that the Father will never reject the son. He has all ready been faithful and just to forgive our sins by the flesh.
Jesus took our rejection so for God to reject us is to reject the Son who paid the ultimate price on the cross, His death!
This fact of righteousness as a son also brings us to another truth. That if we are righteous then it must be established that we are holy.
Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love. Ephesians 1:4
Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share the portion, which is the inheritance of the saints (God's holy people) in the Light. Colossians 1:12
The mystery of which was hidden for ages and generations [from angels and men], but is now revealed to His holy people (the saints). Colossians 1:26
Clothe yourselves therefore, as God's own chosen ones (His own picked representatives), [who are] purified and holy and well-beloved. Colossians 3:12
When did holiness come? When you received Jesus, instantly you became holy. Blameless and above reproach in the sight of the Father.
Imagine by the spirit you, as a son can actually stand blameless in the presence of the Father and God of all the universe. With out any guilt, without any fear, without rejection. What a miracle!
The sons of God need to grasp this fact. This would transform them into a strong secure family.
The sad reality is that a major part of the world does not believe this fact. This massage becomes a stumbling block because of ingrained thinking of legalism or a works driven gospel or religion.
Many simply cannot believe that God is this good!
How many have grown up in an environment where acceptance was based on performance? This attitude causes most people to feel they will never measure up to people's expectations.
Sadly, most even in the church have fallen into this perfection in excellence attitude. This mentality can make a child of God feel inadequate in their relationship with God.
Soon they begin to question, "Is God happy with me? Is He pleased with me? Do I have favor with God? Am I saved? Does God really love me and accept me for who I am?"
The results are they lose their zeal and effectiveness in their walk with God. Their trust is slowly eroded. Their hope is stolen, and depression will set its ugly claws into their soul.
But when we understand our position of identity in Christ, the answer is simple! He is happy and finds favor in us. He really does love us as we are! Why? Because of His Son and who we are in Him.
Our relationship with God is not based on our performance. It is based on who he is! God is not asking us to measure up to His expectations. He just wants us to believe as His sons and in His Son and what He has accomplished for us through the cross.
To really reap the benefits of son ship, we must understanding and have a revelation of God's righteousness in and for us.
Today most live out of a sin conscious because they are being taught they are not good enough and inferior to God. Because of this we have thousands of religions around the world trying to find favor with God through some type of works.
Man is simple bent on trying to find God through their self-effort because they feel separated. This comes from a sin conscious or the flesh.
What must change is our consciousness that is developed from our position or place in Christ. In other words God through the cross has already made us righteous.
Now this righteousness does not come by our effort or goodness. It comes by what Christ has accomplished for us two thousand years ago on the cross.
When we operate out of a sin conscious, we are functioning in the dead man not the new creation alive in Christ. And as long as we are in sin conscious we will never understand truly who God is as a Father.
We will never truly embrace the true unconditional love of the farther.
We will never have that intimate Father son relationship that God has give to all.
A righteous conscious person knows their place in Christ.
Knows that God will never leave them or forsake them.
Knows that they can come boldly into the throne of grace, no mater the problem or condition they are in.
They know that through Christ they are holy in God's sight
They know they have been justified and given right standing as the sons of God.
They know they do not have to feel inferior because through Christ they have been raised to a place of son ship with all it inherit rights and privileges.
Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God's favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God. Romans 5:1,2.
But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us. Therefore, since we are now justified (acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God) by Christ's blood, how much more [certain is it that] we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more [certain], now that we are reconciled, that we shall be saved (daily delivered from sin's dominion) through His  resurrection life. Romans 5:8,9,10.
For if because of one man's trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17.
Dear friend you are no longer a sinner but a saint, a son of God. By this we are to reign as kings in this life through Christ
No longer a Sinner
Hear is an earthy example for the sake of our carnal thinking. If I tell a dog to be a cat it would be impossible. Dogs do not want to climb trees or meow, and it does not matter how hard you try to change him he will always be a dog.
Son of God, it is the same with us. Through the work of the cross and reconciliation we have been adopted and brought into a place of Sons. A son holy and right before God. We are not sinners!
So if we are saints or sons then we must live out of who we are, saints or sons. A sinner sins and saint does not. Why because God does not see sinner but a person separated onto Him as holy and perfect through the Son.
Now this can only be discerned through a righteous conscious. Other wise it is hard to grasp by sin conscious.
Sadly most of the so-called church today teaches sin consciousness. Teaching saint as though they are sinners when they are not. Teaching how to perfect the flesh when God dealt with the flesh on the cross.
We have spent most of our teaching on how to be something we are already.
Now this all may sound profound and maybe foolish but we have to tell them who they are first before they will change. As they become righteous conscious they will soon live out of the life of Christ.
This is walking by the spirit.
As long as we are teaching sin conscious they will be defeated because it is impossible to perfect the flesh. Plus sin conscious is of the flesh not by the spirit.
We may be thinking, do we not have to teach them the laws of God?
Yes it is good to teach God precepts to life but we must be careful not put the saint back under the law or a works gospel. A works gospel produce legalism, which is of the flesh and the dead man.
Legalism is simply the attitude that we can become righteous or holy by obeying the law. It is measuring our spirituality by a list of do and don'ts.
To do this is to fall from grace because where there is law there can be no grace.
But if it is by grace (His unmerited favor and graciousness), it is no longer conditioned on works or anything men have done. Otherwise, grace would no longer be grace [it would be meaningless]. Romans 11:6
Simple, the weakness of the law was in the flesh and the law tries to produce righteousness from the outside in and this can never be done because the flesh is dead.
What Christ has done through reconciliation on the cross is change man from a sinner to a saint. We are new creatures altogether and no longer dictated by the law of the flesh.
Let me say it this way, the law says we must perform to be accepted but our place as sons is through grace and we are accepted unconditionally.
Under law we earn our blessings under grace we are already blessed.
We need to teach the sons of God who they are, not what they should be and as we teach them who they are they will then naturally do and be who they are.
