Note, Quotation marks and a * at the end of sentence means bible quote or quote.
The first home my wife and I built was a small blue, white trimmed bungalow on a not so quiet street. We were able to pick out the floor plan, colors, carpets, cupboards and fixtures. It was an amazing experience and venture in love, and at times we were overwhelmed at the thought of owning our own home, excited to know we would have a place to raise our young family.
As the days went by the walls emerged, we could visualize the lush lawn, shrubs and a small garden that would produce the best ruby red tomatoes in town. Before the carpets and doors were in, we could see our furniture in its proper place and where our two sons would have their very own rooms. Finally the day came and with incredible exhilaration we finally put the key into the door to our new home, but it went further; it was also the day we decided to dedicate our habitation to God, a place that He would be exalted, worshipped and loved.
Over the years we have had many homes but none as precious and warm as the jewel on thirty second street. The memories of growing children, Christmas, family meals, play times, bible studies and prayers will forever be with us, it was a good life!
To a family, a home is a special place, a place of rest, security and shelter from the cold, a place where we cultivate tradition, love, and nurture relationships. It does not matter what part of the world one comes from, every home is the same. There is a special sanctity and respect that most abide by, for someone or something to take or disrupt this environment is a violation of what we are as humanity.
Wars have been fought for the freedom to own property, blood, sweat and tears were given as families forged across this rugged land to cut out a dream to establish that special place as a family. This nation was simply built on the very foundation of family and home.
The pages you are about to read speaks of another special place, a habitation that God Himself through His Son has built, designed specifically to rest the weary souls of humanity and to supply provision, healing, acceptance and security to all who which to abide within. So let us journey to this secret place and learn the plan, purpose and great provision of the temple of the King.
The Secret Plan
God in His infinite love desires more then anything that His children know Him. He is a Father of all Fathers and more than anyone understands the uniqueness of the family and home. He created the family and all that is needed to make it function as an organic structure that is always evolving around the needs and personalities of people. He created the family because that in and of itself is what God is.
I have heard it said that God has no needs, if this were true then why does He care! He cares because he is all family, a place where intimacy can be expressed and love can be enjoyed. God is love and what better place to express His love then in a place where He lives, in His family!
Paul wrote in the book of Ephesians, "For I always pray the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation, of insight into mysteries and secrets, in the deep and intimate knowledge of Him, by having the eyes of your hearts flooded with light, so you can know and understand the hope to which he has called you and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints, His set apart ones.” According to these Words, it is God's desire to reveal truth to us and to see us come to a full understanding and deep infinite knowledge of His plan and purpose.
Paul, in the same book wrote, "Making Known to us the mystery, secret of His will, of the plan, of His purpose, and it is this: in accordance with His pleasure, His merciful intention which He had previously purposed and set forth in Him.”
In the book of Psalms, God spoke a Word through a psalmist regarding a great mystery, a secret, a plan to reveal a habitation, a place where God would live and direct an eternal plan. He said, "For the Lord has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His habitation, this is my resting place forever says the Lord, here will I dwell, for I have desired it. I will surely and abundantly bless her provision, I will satisfy her poor with bread, her priest also will I clothe with salvation and her saint will shout aloud with joy, there will I make the horn of David bud, I have ordained and prepared a lamp for My anointed. His enemies will I clothe with shame, but upon Himself shall His crown flourish.”
Zion is a type and shadow of Christ’s body or what some call the church. God was conveying through the living Word a prophetic proclamation that a day was coming when he would build a habitation, a temple called the body of Christ! It would be a place of rest, built not of brick and mortar but an abode in the hearts of those who would come together as living stones to become the most holy place of God.
How would this great temple be constructed and who would be its designer? There would be only one man to accomplish this great task, the man Jesus!
In obedience to His Father He humbled Himself and took a holy order to become the greatest architect of the universe. He came to earth through the miracle of the virgin birth and by an act of unconditional love took upon Himself flesh and blood and walked as man in the midst of depraved humanity. He walked on earth without sin, fulfilled the Laws demand, never wavering from the Father's plan to build this most holy place, a temple for the King.
The plan was simple! He must first allow His body as a temple to be destroyed in order to build a new temple. So through His physical body He suffered death at the hands of His own, a horrific humiliation that would in turn give humanity, without discrimination an opportunity to be part of a greater temple, a temple infused with many hands, ears and voices that would spread and influence every corner of planet earth.
Jesus the Man died and arose from the dead, and then ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of the All Might King of kings as the great Architect, a creator of a new and living spiritual abode, built on a solid foundation with living stones.
Today this temple is God's resting place, His abode laid in the hearts of flesh that have become parts of majestic temple. It is not some man made building built to rot and decay but a temple built by the master builder with perfection, to precise measurement, and paid for completely by the most expensive currency in the universe, the blood of Jesus Christ!
If you are a believer of the cross of Calvary and this great Savior then you are a living part of this great and marvelous habitation. A living part of God's household with all its rights, privileges and honor. So let us examine more of this awesome truth of where God dwells, and the blessings of being a part of this secret place and the temple of the King.
The foundation of this knowledge will come by us examine the prophetic words written in the book of Psalms. Word by word, piece by piece we will begin to see the beauty of these scriptures and there significant concerning our place in this abode. But more over you will begin to see the enormous benefits of being a part, as a living stone formed, molded and place strategically and perfectly in to its proper place.
The Psalms starts by saying,” He will surely and abundantly bless her provision..."
For God to start this incredible endeavor He first put up all His resources. The provision to accomplish the building of this temple came from the royal treasury; He took the provision and with confidence put it into the hands of His Son as the master Architect knowing that He would fulfill all requirements to building this majestic temple.
The bible says, “That though He was so very rich, yet for your sake He became so very poor in order that by His poverty you might become enriched and abundantly supplied.” It all so says, “Jesus came to give life and life more abundantly.”
Now these scriptures have been abused in the name of prosperity, but it does not change the fact to what Jesus did concerning our abundance. For instance the word Rich means wealthy, Simply Jesus became poor meaning he left the place of glory to come to earth as humanity so you could become wealthy and rich with His abundance, spiritually and physically.
God has supplied every abundant provision for His body the temple and has equipped it to completion in order to do the works of His will on earth. There simply is not one area in which He has not provided for success in His body!
God, in His love has made available by faith vast resources, resources that will never run dry. He desires for His home to be totally dependent on Him, always looking to Him as their source and creator of supply, this means trusting Him to do whatever He in His infinite wisdom knows to be best for us.
This trust is formed out of our relationship to Him. By us getting to know him intimately and trusting his faithfulness that He will do whatever He says He will do. He wants us to see and experience His infinite and unconditional love and that He never changes and is eternally committed to what is best for His family. As we understand these truths we will begin to extend our faith out to all that He has as our source of provision.
Today take heart that Your Father has the answer and provision for all your circumstances and situations. He has provided the means to meet every problem of life. For He will surely and abundantly bless your provision!
Satisfied With Bread
"...He will satisfy the poor with bread..."
Individually we were all once poor in spirit, depraved lost souls. But through the wonderful sacrifice of Jesus Christ our personal Savior, the Bread of Life, we have become rich with the abundance of life. The God kind of life! The Zoë life! This means we partake in all of God's life.
“For we, no matter how numerous we are, are one body, because we all partake of the one bread.”*
“The bread spoken of is the Word of God; wish is Jesus Christ, full of grace and truth.”*
"In the beginning before all time was the Word Christ, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. ...and the Word became flesh and dwelled among us...”*
When Jesus ascended into heaven, He did not leave us without manna but a storehouse of bread; called the Word of God, the logos, the living Word.
Just like we need natural food to live in the natural life, we need spiritual food to live the spiritual life. This life given food comes from the Word of God, the Bread of Life, and the manna from heaven!
“In a humble spirit receive and welcome the Word, which implanted and rooted in your hearts, contains the power.”*
“For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power making it active, operative, energizing and effective....”*
The Bread of Life or Word of God Spoken, rooted in our heart contains power, active power, and energizing and effective power to give and change our life!
God has supplied us a power source so great and wonderful that it would take many life times to appreciate it awesome power. And as a loving father he has imparted His Holy Spirit, into our spirit to teach us how to partake of this bread supplied.
So He has satisfy you, the poor, with bread.
Clothed as Priests
"...He shall clothe His priest with salvation..."
The word saved or salvation in the Greek is Sozo, which means, delivered, healed, protected, rescued, preserved and made whole.
As a part of this temple, God's habitation, we have received this marvelous salvation. Have inherited all the benefits and clothed with all the advantages and rights of salvation!
We are Priests of God! Carriers and representatives called to take the miracle working salvation to a world without knowledge of the true and living God. A humanity that needs to be rescued, delivered, healed and made whole!
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, God's own purchased, special people.”*
Friend, you're not just an ordinary priest but a Royal Priest, belonging to a Holy Order, a priest who has free access into the most Holy Place of God, the Royal Chambers of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
“Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in good time for every need.”*
As a royal priest you can come confidently to the royal throne of grace because you have been clothed with His righteousness. Washed clean and sanctified by the precious blood of the Lamb.
Your place of privilege and status was not received by your own doing, greatness or righteousness but by a high call by the great high priest Himself, Jesus Christ!
“But that appointed time came when Christ appeared as a High Priest of the better things that are to come and are to come through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with human hands, that is, not a part of this material creation.”*
Oh what an awesome privilege He has bestowed on the temple, His habitation, and us.
What an honor to be clothed with His salvation.
What incredible love that extends and qualified those who do not deserve His attention.
He has clothed you His priest with salvation.
Shout Aloud With Joy
"...His saints will shout aloud with joy..."
Today as a believer, you are in the Son. This means you are not an old sinner but a saint of God, a saint means a holy one! One separated onto God, a purchased and special people.
This alone should cause us to shout aloud for joy, proclaiming His goodness, shouting from the highways and by-ways of His greatness.
“Yet believing, you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.”*
Why do we rejoice with joy unspeakable? Because we are in Him and partaking of His Spirit, sharing in His attributes, tasting His love and wonders, how can we not express joy and appreciation to our Father the King!
Friend, when all hell seems to be falling around you and life is getting you down, you can draw from the joy of salvation. When the trials and temptations are testing you on every side you can rejoice knowing that God has a way of escape through the victory of the cross.
“Your presence is fullness of joy, at your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.”*
Joy is the overcoming victory cries for all that know God. The bases of our ability to shout, proclaiming His marvelous grace. It is the most effective evangelistic tool given to the temple of God.
The Word says that we are more than conquerors through Christ and that the joy of the Lord is our strength.
So shout unto God with the voice of triumph!
Shout aloud for joy all you saints of God!
Allow the joy unspeakable full of glory to flow from the innermost being by the Holy Spirit!
Let us become efficacious in spreading His wonderful joy of salvation and bringing cheerfulness to our homes, our communities, our churches and land.
His saints are shouting aloud with joy.
Blessed in Ruling Power
"...There I will make a horn spring forth..."
"...Unto David and bud..."
The word horn in the Word of God means, ruling power or one with ruling authority.
The word bud means, one who would grow out of the genealogy of David.
Who was this one?
“I Jesus have sent my angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the root and offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”*
The root means the offspring of David or the bud that will spring forth from David and rule with power. Jesus is the bud or horn springing forth. Jesus is the King of Kings.
Jesus is the Vine, we are the branches. The branch is His body, His habitation. If we are of the Vine, this means we have ruling power with Jesus. Power that rules over our circumstances, over adversaries, over poverty, over sickness and diseases.
The greatest benefit of this ruling power comes in allowing the great I Am, the Bright and Morning Star to rule in and throughout our lives.
“All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations..."*
“But to as many as did receive and welcome Him. He gave the authority and power to become the children of God.”
“Far above all rule and authority and power and every name that is named, not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world to come. And He put all things under His feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church. Which is His body the fullness of Him who fills all and all, for in that body lives the full measure of Him?”*
Jesus has all authority and power; He is the ruler of all, Head of the church. But it also says that the church, US, is the full measure of Him. All that He is and has He gives to us!
What does this mean to us? That there is nothing impossible to them that believe. To refuse this, is to take lightly all that God desires and wants us to experience in His household.
So let the horn spring forth in your life.
Ordained and Anointed
"...And there I have ordained and prepared a lamp for my anointed."
The word ordained means, a holy order or holy calling!
We the temple, His Habitation have a holy order or calling from the throne of God, the calling is to proclaim and preach the Good News Gospel.
As members of the body of Christ we belong to a holy order, one sanctified and in right standing with God. We are members ordained to bring forth, by prophetic revelation the power and might of God.
“But you shall receive power and ability, efficiency and might when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witness...”*
“For it is He who delivered and saved us with a calling in itself holy...or...called us with a holy calling...”*
We the church, the body of Christ have been called, ordained, prepared and sent as a lamp unto God's anointing.
“For once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord...or...a lamp unto the lord.”*
“For you are all sons of light and sons of day...”*
What does light and lamp mean; light expels darkness; a lamp illuminates our path or gives direction. God has anointed us as His body to be a light to the world, a light that will illuminate and banish darkness, a lamp to those who need a new course in life, a lamp to illuminate a path to Christ!
“But as for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides permanently in you...”*
The anointing is God's character flowing in and through us to heal, deliver, strengthen and enable us to live the life of Christ.
The anointing is grace and grace is anointing to bring us, and help others, to find freedom from bondage. Simply, it is the ability of God in us to break the yoke of bondage. Without it we will fail in whatever endeavor we do.
Today ask Him for understanding about the anointing, your calling and that which He has ordained you!
And you have been ordained and prepared as a lamp for His anointed.
"...His Enemies will I Clothe with Shame..."
Who is the enemy of the church and God? The Adversary, the Devil or Satan! All evil that the adversary possesses, bitterness, offence, hatred and every vile thing are pointed towards God's household, the church, His temple.
Now let me note for your understanding, that when I use the name adversary, I am speaking of a spirit that opposes God and His system of life.
In some English bibles adversary is translated Satan or the devil but in the original text of Hebrew and Greek it is translated adversary, which means someone or something that opposes God.
Darkness opposes the Light and is working overtime to discredit God. It also knows that God's children represent Him. It knows the legal power, position and authority that have been passed to the church. It knows what the church can do to him and it is afraid, terrified and full of anxiety at the thought of you using that power against it!
“Jesus disarmed the principalities and powers ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross]."*
Another version says, "He disarmed principalities and powers and made a public spectacle of them"
Friend, Jesus has made a public spectacle of them and further more has disarmed it’s arsenal. In other words it has no true weapons. In turn Jesus has equipped the temple with His entire arsenal, empowering the it to stand in victory He has won.
Jesus has put the enemy to shame, won the battle for us! The only thing the adversary can do is manipulate, deceive, wrestle, and call us names but he has no real power against us.
The word says that Jesus is far above all principalities and powers and dominions. They are simply under His feet! Because we are in the Son that puts us far above and our adversary is under our feet
Some in the church use warfare to chase devils, this is wasting time and gets us off presenting the good news gospel. Warfare is simply reminding our adversary of their defeat.
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory, making us conquerors through our Lord Jesus Christ.”*
“You are Gods, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”*
“What then shall we say to these things, if God is for us, who can be against us?”*
“Now thanks be to God who already leads us in triumph in Christ.”*
Simply our Enemies have been clothed with Shame.
Crowned with Glory
"...But upon Himself shall His crown flourish."
The word flourishes means to grow vigorously, to grow healthy and to thrive. It also means to put on display as a wreath of victory.
This crown is actually a living crown. It is speaking of the church the body of Christ and God has put it on display as his victory wreath for the entire universe to see!
“The Apostle Paul wrote, “I love and yearn to see, my delight and crown, wreath of victory...”*
Friend when God looks at us, He sees a crown of great treasure, precious jewels, and a pearl of great price. He sees His most prize possession the temple, His habitation as His heritage, His children and His glory.
We the temple of God are a crown of great slender, sparkling diamonds that reflect the goodness and mercies of God.
We are members of His household, a crown that is alive, vibrant, growing and flourishing from now and throughout eternity.
We are living stones placed exactly where Jehovah God desires to show all creation His Radiance, His Slender, His Majesty and most of all His true character, Unconditional Love!
As a child of God you need to see yourself as part of His great treasure, the brilliant diamond, a pearl of great price, a thriving crown, a place of His habitation, on the head of the King of kings and Lord of Lords our God.
As a crown of His glory we are forever safe in His hands, Secured and sealed throughout eternity by the blood of the lamb!
“He has also appropriated and acknowledged us as His by putting His seal upon us, His Holy Spirit in our hearts as a security deposit and a guarantee of the fulfillment of His promise.”*
“We are safe in the arms of our Father, for neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, nor heights nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God.”*
Friend; let us enjoy being part of His crown, wreath of victory. There is no safer place in the universe!
But upon Himself shall you, His crown flourish.
Today the prophetic word spoken in the book of Psalms has been fulfilled. We live in a new era or dispensation, a better covenant.
Jesus through the work of the cross has made a way for all mankind to be a part of God's habitation, a place that humanity can experience relationship and intimacy with God the Father. What a privilege, what an awesome honor to bequeath us His temple, His home and habitation.
“For those, whom He foreknew, of whom He was aware and loved beforehand, He also destined from the beginning to be molded into the image of His son and sharing inwardly His likeness, That He might become the first born among many brethren."*
“For he foreordained us destined us, planned in love for us to be adopted, revealed, as His own children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will because it pleased Him and was His kind intent."* Another version of the Word says, "Having predestined us..."
The word predestined in the Greek is; Proorizo, which mean, predestined. Simply God has a plan, a plan for your individual life, a plan that includes being a part of His household, His habitation, His temple.
God's predestined plan was that He would have a spiritual body here on earth, a place of habitation, an environment to put forth His love and mercy. God Himself is omnipresent and therefore His presence is felt everywhere; but He also lives in the spirit of individual believers, who encompasses and makes up the temple of God, His body.
“Be mindful to be a blessing, especially to those of the household of faith, those who belong to God's family with you...”*
“Therefore you are no longer outsiders, exiles, migrants, and aliens excluded from the right of citizens, but you now share citizenship with the saints and you belong to God's household... In Him you yourselves also are being built up into this structure with the rest, to form a fixed abode, dwelling place of God in and through the Spirit.”*
"For the Lord has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His habitation, and this is my resting place forever says the Lord, here will I dwell, for I have desired it..."
The foundation of this habitation is based on Jesus, the Chief Cornerstone.
“For thus it stands in Scriptures, behold I am laying in Zion a chosen, honored, precious Cornerstone, and he who believes, he will not be disappointed or put to shame.”*
Zion is the temple of the King, the church, Jesus is the Cornerstone and God is the master builder. God has said in His Word, “I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Another version states, “Shall not over power it or hold out against it.”*
As a believer in God, we have become living stones in the Masters plan for a temple, a habitation. God by His Spirit has than taken up residence in this abode, which is the glorious church the body of Christ.
Here on earth and into eternity, this temple the church will be the vehicle through which God will manifest His glory to all creation. What a glorious plan the Father has made, what an opportunity of blessing to be a part of this temple.
Today the temple of the King is where God has made His habitation, a home in the heart of a spiritual body of believers, the most holy place.
God is no longer in a place or habitation made of hands but He is in you! You are His dwelling Place. In this let us partake and enjoy the benefits and privileges of the household of God.
Let us take the appointed position that Jesus paid for through His death, burial and resurrection.
The great Apostle Paul wrote, “For my determined purpose is that I may know Him, that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His person more strongly and more clearly, and that I may in the same way come to know the power overflowing from His resurrection...”*
Friend, pray that God would give you wisdom and revelation, of insights into this wonderful truth of where God lives. As this happens you will come to appreciate all that God is as a Father and King, and how unique you are fitly joined with Him in the Temple of the King.
God desires to give His people the knowledge and understanding of the temple they have become. He wants them to fully comprehend His intentions, which is to bring every part of the building together. The purpose is to see the fullness and completeness of His glory through the works of His loving Son.
“Do you not discern and understand that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit has His permanent dwelling in you?"*
Can you see that you are a part of that habitation, that resting-place of God? God has found His place, right in the center of the temple. By this incredible revelation, we as members of this body should respect and reverence the temple God has so lovely built.
You are special, unique and wonderfully made!
Allow the Spirit of the living God to reveal Himself!
Allow Him to open the eyes of your spiritual understanding so you may see the greatness of this temple.
